Unfortunately I’ve met some people that take that mentality to a macho extreme in the form of “if you want to be STARTUP, you should actively avoid doing anything that resembles forethought.”

I had a conversation the other day with some work colleagues where we were talking about a friends dad who just retired from working as an engineer at AT&T for something like 35 years. We made some jokes about how that would be unthinka

One of the few things I remember from that one neuroscience class I took in high school was that the more physical senses you involve in something, the more likely you are to remember that thing. I think you’re totally right about writing s

Personally I stick with “irregardlessly” just to see who goes bug-eyed when they hear it. This is not directly in response to your comment, but I see three types of people. Some people don’t know better or care to know better or weren’t pay

In the US, there’s a difference between a professional Engineer and a Professional Engineer. Professional Engineer requires certification (I think they even give you a ring or something), but you can still work professionally as an Engineer

This has happened to me before too. The owner of a company I ended up working for found me at a hackathon. Apparently he frequents hackathons to keep tabs on the local talent of our somewhat out-of-the-way city. (To note, he also actively p
