Couldn't sit through the whole thing because of the weird camera movement. I assume they're trying to simulate an in-game style movement but it doesn't feel like a human operating the camera. Other than that, very impressive!

OK. Fair enough. But that's merely a configuration choice and not really a shortcoming of RabbitMQ and even without a cluster, persistent queues are at your disposal, it's just that a HA cluster would be able to give you more of a

For RabbitMQ you mention: No message delivery guarantee in face of RabbitMQ server failure. Wouldn't that be solved by using a persistent queue and high availability clustering (i.e. the queue is duplicated over N servers)?

There is a great documentary on this. Unfortunately Youtube only has the Italian version (not that there is anything wrong with Italian). I have seen it in English (narration and subtitles, so it's out there, somewhere). https:/&

Could it be, and I just thinking out loud and speculating here, that the Belgium government or secret service knew about this and that the UK was simply using Belgacom as "target practise"? I mean, I would assume that GCHQ would w

That's correct. They run Linux, like Redhat.

Since Redhat is a distribution of Linux, how many Android installs are there?

Its funny how similar the Digg and Myspace home pages look..

by pan69 12y ago
Yes, indeed. That might actually be very true. That large group of people who are simply "consumers" today might become "creators" in the future.

Not entirely related, but the scale of this I find just mind boggling. E.g. I learned a little while ago that the universe of Star Trek just takes place in "our" galaxy alone! Not the entire universe, just our galaxy. Imagine the

Mobile devices are mostly "consuming" devices. If you want to do computer based work, e.g. type a letter, you're going to need a different type of device (i.e. laptop or desktop, one with a decent display and keyboard). What

Not necessarily, depends on how Twitter indexes images and if they OCR them to attach meta data. But I guess this would be a good reason for them not to.

Aren't humans hunter-gathers and not having food for some periods of time has become part of who we are? To me vasting makes total sense, whether it's religious, spiritual or otherwise.

What's interesting is the massive difference between the US and Europe. I was very much around in '94 (I was 22 back then) and I honestly don't know the majority of these videos. Interesting idea though.
