It's a little naive to believe governments don't do this kind of thing (software surveillance), don't you think? Even if they "shouldn't".

I think... Maybe... I'm getting it. Kind of. Probably not. By wiring the CPU directly to the RAM, to use your metaphor, then we can entirely bypass the ASM stage of "a program" (but then what is a program if not a sequence of instructions?)

Erm... The piano allowed dynamic volume; a serious improvement over the harpsichord. I hate to pick at your example, 'cause I agree with you in spirit. Your harpsichord/piano example was just... Well, exactly my point. The piano was a major

I... wish I understood. I'm just a lowly Blub programmer. An executable is often less than 1MB, and certainly always less than 100MB. In contrast, a 14GB video game still loads pretty quickly, and the data that goes across the bus per frame

Ha! A $100 synth from RadioShack is precisely what I use. It even has "RadioShack" engraved into it. Honestly I was just trying to find some good things to say about Overtone, since creativity is always a great thing and should be encourage

Mm, I didn't mean to come off as a dick. Overtone is cool as hell, and is worthy of a lot of respect. My point was, there's a reason why musicians often use "a box with a bigass row of large physical keys" to do this sort of thing. That sai

Mm... Good point. Is that happening here, you think? I tend to play Devil's advocate; and right now, people are demonizing Guy. But if he's genuinely full of fluff, then it'd be justified.

That's pretty incredible. I had $10 back then, too, even though I was about 9. I remember thinking "the stock market seems interesting"... It's just cool to think that my $10 could've turned into $1600 with nothing but luck and patience.

Yeah, I know. But I have faith in people, even the not-so-good ones. We're all in this [crazy life] together; all we can do is to try to help each other, and shrug off the bad times.

For what it's worth, you're 100% spot-on correct. Don't feel bad that no one else believes it, heh. Throughout history, the world has been literally insane -- this is just another example of an insane view that's spread into popular cultur

Do you believe most of the world is honorless? If so, then no citation will convince otherwise. On the other hand, if you believe most people are fundamentally "good" (or at least "mostly not evil"), as I do, then no citation is necessary.
