On this note, I would encourage people to visit India (my country). I think the general perception people have (or had) about India is poor people all over the place begging. But, you will be amazed at how demographics (language, food, cult

Care to explain why? For me, getting shot while walking on the street and getting shot when having a normal conversation in a bar looks almost same. I genuinely want to know, what is the difference between the above comment and this particu

I disagree. Yes, there are freak deaths in India by its own standards. People die without being able to afford a nominal medical fee etc. I'm not at all denying that. But, this is whole different thing, where individual's frustrat

Freak incidents are heart-breaking, particularly when we don't really know what one could have done to prevent them. As an outsider to a typical U.S lifestyle, one thing that puzzles me is why do people need a gun even when they are in

If that is the case, why all the other the other repo's star operations is not communicated to google or other analytics platform? My point was, I was blocked from starring only for this repo and not all the other repos. It was not abo

Just using a random commit name like 'minor bug fix', 'updated version' for these kind of commits will save a lot of headaches like this. One can do better by adding random lines/ logs in lot of files and sneakily r

Thanks for the explanation. I'm still taken aback by Github's behaviour to communicate with outside apis for their internal star operation.

Weird. I cannot star this repo in github with my ad blocker (u block origin) turned on. Apparently, the star request sends a request to this end point - https://www.google-analytics.com/collect which fails, which results in

Can you throw some light on the "teaching English in some different exotic locales" part? Like the countries/locations and how easy is it for someone to migrate (atleast temporarily like 6 months/1 year) and spend time l

Great. I just created an issue. You might want to create few guidelines in the repo for creating patches regarding typo/grammatical issues so that you can focus on the actual content of the book. Nice job with the book.

It is better to proof read for correctness. I myself want to point out few grammatical stuffs and looking for the source in Github. You can simple create a repo or add the source text to the current repo, so that people can easily fix these

It can be solved with the main app listing its oss dependencies - similar to dependencies in node package.json . the amount to be paid to the main project gets split based on the dependencies and weightage specified.

There a lot of variations of octave gold which can be applied to the product. I have not used octave and don't know whether the following applies to it - like a "tip from the author" in the GUI, custom themes etc.

Hmmm ... still using cordova!! Did you consider React Native? Is there a problem with this app being ported with React Native? Btw, nice app, and will try to see if it works for my needs.

I'm from India. Glad you quoted from gita. There is another succinct version, loosely translated as "the essence of gita". I scoured for a relevant English version and found something here which might be relevant - http:

Totally off topic - In mobiles, tables are stripped off while the rest of the content is responsive. There is no scroll bar and no way to read the data given in the table from mobile. Hope Github fixes it.

Sorry for the naming confusion. This tool does not deal with MS Excel files which are binary files and needs specialized programs (like MS Office/libre office) to make sense out of it. This tool just reads plain text CSV/TSV Files

I upvoted you because this is the first non programming comment I came across in this content. The question was generic, but incidentally almost all replies are related to programming.
