Maybe Ken Thompson and Rob Pike worked on those C++ APIs, too. They certainly don't like C++, but also had to used it, and created Go out of frustration.

I'd rather play those two games using OpenRA. Releasing Tiberium Sun (> 20 years old) RedAlert 2 (also 20 years old) would be a great move that actually made a difference.

Working through a technical book of any substance, as opposed to just reading or skimming it, will take dozens of hours, no matter how terse or verbose the style is. The book is supposed to be around 270 pages, so verbosity probably won

Nah, fuqit, I'll just buy it ;-) NoStarch never let me down so far, and paying USD 60 (or 40, or whatever) is such a marginal difference for a book you're going to spends dozens of hours on.

That's why I started using a second phone just for the Google Authenticator App at the workplace. If your authentication does not rely on SMS, you don't even need a SIM card.
