Its not risk or cost free. Graduate school has a severe opportunity cost. If you can make $60K/year and grad school tuition is $20k a year, you have a $60k opportunity cost and a 20k out of pocket cost.

I had a 486 Dx4 120 (AMD), eventually with 64MB of ram, it always ran NT4. I remember downloading mp3s in 1997 or 1998. The machine couldn't play the mp3, but I could decode it in bulk to wav files, which it could play.

The thing for me is, I don't just distrust the government, I distrust large organizations in general (government, fortune 500 companies, religions), I find that they are fairly inefficient. I am not interested in replacing one inefficient

When I mowed lawns I got a lot of work, not by being the best at what I did, not by being the cheapest, but by being a person. I would get most of my customers by going door to door and knocking on doors where I saw people with high grass.

I bought a 30 inch this summer and I love it. I really do like coming home and working. Now I need to setup a tiling window manager because it is an annoyance dragging windows all over the place.

I'm 26. I started shovelling snow when I was 10, in 1992. When I was 13 I started mowing lawns. My parents never told me to go out and mow lawns. I wanted to. It was the best thing I did for myself in my junior high and highschool years.
