No. Python's static typing is a complete joke . The core tools are overly lenient by default and without enforcement of anything at runtime you will be bitten sooner or later. I've spent several years with a very large, fully typ

This is why I think each instance of a channel should be a global singleton as soon as they escape a local context. IMO you could solve this by having each instance of a channel be a unique type that must be annotated as that type every

I strongly suspect this is primarily in non-tech companies who have been hit much harder by recessionary forces and inflation. On top of Section 174 making it harder to offset the tax burden of R&D work done by SWEs, I'm surprised

You can absolutely write good Java, the language gives you the tools to do so. Just because the reputation Java developers got in the 2000s was of over-abstracted gunk does not mean the language is not a good choice, especially post Java 21

I'm not sure I would want to use Python for anything that remotely touches money. It's far, far down on my list of languages I would use for something that has serious consequences for being incorrect.

Rust doesn't generally have a garbage collector though. This doesn't apply to the general case (ie. unless you go out of your way to add a GC into your runtime)

Some of the worst code I've seen in my life lives in Jupyter notebooks. But that's fine, it's meant to be throwaway code. The problem is a lot of places/people do not use it as such .
