It’s a shame that no major online source or aggregator of news has tried to address this problem. Most sites already track what articles their users view; they could post a notification to everyone who saw it to inform them that what they r

I would encourage anyone interested in this article to read it thoroughly to the end. This is one of the most satisfying articles I’ve read recently and I really enjoy the author’s unique sense of humor.

With heartbleed, a bug in the implementation of the protocol led to the server randomly leaking contents of the server’s memory, which could be anything from private keys to user or system passwords to other confidential information. No pas

Heartbleed caused data leakage in the handshake phase of the protocol. I don’t know if SSH was affected, but there’s no reason why a similar exploit won’t be found for SSH in the future, and trivially obscuring your SSH port protects you

A HN comment in another thread (which I can’t find atm) states that this is no longer relevant because exchanges now allow colocation in the same buildings as the servers running the exchange, and it’s relatively inexpensive. Is that commen

I was blown away by GPT-3 until I got to try it myself and realized that most of the praise is based on cherry-picked examples. You can try it out at https://philosopherai.com to see for yourself.

You and others are providing a willfully ignorant and overly simplistic presentation of what affirmative action is. Your question is in bad faith. I don’t agree with a lot of political opinions of others but I don’t try to pretend like I do

False dichotomy. No one is claiming that Apple shouldn’t be able to provide the option of limiting phones with parental controls to the main App Store if the parents set it up that way.

It was never disallowed for developers to charge a higher fee on iOS app store purchases. They just aren’t allowed to make the user aware that they are paying more than required or explain why.
