I have last used XSLT probably about 2 decades ago. Back then XML was king. Companies were transferring data almost always using XML and translating it to a visual web-friendly format with XSLT was pretty neat. Cool tech and very impressive

Afaik, Die Linke still have anti-NATO stance in their program and call for it to dissolve and a new collective defense pact be created with Russia in it, which was an eyeroll to me, given the war, cyber attacks and everything. Edit: I last

I have also greatly decreased the time I watch YT and I have not been missing it. I used to have playlists, favs, lots of channels to follow. I stopped doing all that. Occasionally I’d “watch“ something on the background while I work, but i

IMO the “Spring fever” is the most horrible thing that has happened to Java. There genuinely are developers and companies that reduce the whole language and its ecosystem to Spring. This is just sad. I’m glad that I have been working 15+ ye

The saddest thing here and the way I understand it is that even waiving the tariffs won't fix the long term damage these actions have caused. Foreign partners will now be much more weary of the US as a trading partner. At least this is

Indeed using PGP for personal E-mail was never easy and required sufficient knowledge from end users. Using it in corporate setups was a piece of cake and I've seen it personally. I had been using and working on software that manages P

The E2E problem has already been solved long time ago. We used to have Thunderbird with an OpenPGP extension and GPG keys. Then there were a whole plethora of products were build around Lotus Notes Domino that provided a central place for s

Man, I knew it was going to be a T-series machine. I used to own T400s and T430. Just hardcore pieces of hardware. I fine-tuned my T430 so that it boots Archlinux in about 3-4 seconds. Loved tinkering with Linux, Xfce and coding on that mac

This is what people outside of Europe do not understand. We are not one country. We are 27 sovereign countries with their own parliament and their own final decisions that must coin a common European policy. This is an immense effort.

I’m in the same boat. To me it’s bad UX. I can never find anything and it just looks way too complex to use. It shouldn’t be this way but as someone that uses Microsoft Entra, I guess I’m not surprised.
