I don't think it's as simple as that - "the apple is red" is "single thing belongs to category", whereas "Olaf Scholz was the ninth Chancellor of Germany" is "single thing is single thing" -

> an AI does 95% of a job but a human is still required for the last 5% This is the kind of scenario I was talking about in my initial comment. The naive assumption about this scenario is that it would result in 95% of jobs disappearing,

It bothers me a little bit as a programmer, but the rational part of my mind is aware that there's literally never been a major technological advancement in human history that didn't ultimately result in more people being employed

Not OP, but after getting used to Steam and GOG I don't really want to use anything that doesn't have text reviews.

I don't think it's really relevant here whether PlayStation is a walled garden or not. As other commenters have pointed out, Sony would have been paying Twitter for API access in order to provide this service to customers and they

If the company you work for won't pay your salary while you're serving jury duty you should probably start looking for another job that treats you with respect.

The GPU in the PS5 is roughly equivalent to a 2070 super. You'll probably find pretty much everything that also releases on console will run just fine until the next console generation becomes the new performance target.

I think the biggest thing is that the minimum extra spend if you want in house managed infra is basically the salary of a full time sysadmin + hardware costs. You can pay for a lot of cloud resources for that much, even when the cloud res

Yeah the delta in cost/CPU/memory/storage between self hosting on second hand stuff and paying cloud services is insane . It's a no brainer if your use case needs beefier hardware than the typical $5/month VPS host

This seems insane to me. Paying your employees a living wage is just another cost of producing the food, it should be part of the menu cost like everything else. Splitting it out is no more sensible that adding "building rent" or
