Do I understand correctly that this is capable of charging over USB-C, and includes a USB-C power supply, but the default charging cable is USB-C -> DC barrel jack? So you can charge over USB-C, but only if you buy a C-to-C cable and t

Demand shaping doesn't really solve the energy availability problem; it's "giving up, with computers."

"DAE Quality is a new project" was written in October 2002: https://web.archive.org/web/20021016095551/http://www.exacta... The newest files in daequality.zip (v1.43) are from December 2003.

That only helps if your desalinator/electrolyzer/etc. has a low enough capital cost to let it sit idle most of the time.

For lightweight packages, I think first class is a better value, though it's more difficult to print postage at home.

Making solar noon match the numerical rollover from 12->1 doesn't seem like the worst idea in the world, though it would probably make more sense to have 11am -> 12am -> 1pm (noon).

If this happens, we're probably going to need more "standard" battery sizes. I've noticed Chinese manufacturers using the Nokia BL-5C as a de facto standard for portable electronics (bluetooth speakers, radios, game cons

Yeah, portable fusion would make large-scale power grids obsolete and revolutionize shipping. Things get more interesting when you scale it down to fit a passenger aircraft. I'll believe it when they can power a toaster or something.

My point is that this has nothing to do with Verizon. I bought the Pixel 2 from Google and only used it on the Google Fi network. It's a bootloader lock, not a carrier lock.

Verizon is not the only exception. I purchased a Pixel 2 directly from Google, which I replaced under warranty due to a defective microphone. Years later, I tried to install LineageOS and hit the "Flashing Unlock is not allowed"
