Thanks for the context, but what I am criticising is this part: > it became allowed to use @bitCast to reinterpret a [3]u8 as a u24 This cant't make sense unless u24 is defined to be 24bits in the first place. It is just silly to al

This perfectly explains why current LLMs should be illegal in an actual capitalist market. Why should anyone publish anything if it can be stolen with impunity? Is the value of these LLMs even remotely close to the amount of value they stol

The dataset they use is <14GB of parquet [1] so the "cold start" seems to be intended to also measure having a dataset that doesn't fit in memory in a way. I don't think this is an oversight but it is just what they f

It is a delusion that US is rich because of capitalism. It is an insult to the people that founded the country and people that developed science/tech/finance etc. in it. And ofc the space, natural resources and isolation from wars

You can’t learn enough anyway so this is kind of like the beginner asking “would it look bad if I put on too much muscle?” That aside, AI era is irrelevant for learning to program so far imo. But it is not possible to guess for 10 years. I

This indicates US already lost and is being a crybaby trying to maintain the current situation. It will never work to be a bully without actually producing value long term. Largest advancements I can see in US lately are LLMs and legalized

I worked at blockchain companies for 4 years and this is not true. The ratio of degenerate engineers is maybe 30% but business people is 80%. People I have worked with were much better compared to other companies I worked in like aviation o

Thanks for explaining, I understand the importance of memory safety but I don’t think it is relevant enough in inline assembly context to implement something like this.

You are not thinking straight if you are making out of bounds errors in inline asm. Inline asm should take 10x or more effort compared to writing the surrounding c++ code and should be tested with protected pages at the edges if possible. I
