Yes, opiates can ruin lives. That is not the trump card you want it to be, sorry. If anything, the pushback against opiate prescribing has resulted in a lot of dependent patients (and addicted abusers) looking at heroin as a more potent,

What he meant was that dependency can be maintained. Forever. I disagree that opiates are not a good choice for short-term pain relief, and I also disagree that they are not a good choice for long-term pain relief. If anything, pain is

I bet there is a community out there committed to this kind of thing, it sounds like you have a very specific desire. I'd be shocked if there weren't more people out there who feel the same way, and are doing something about it.

Apologies in advance if this is a dumb question. What is Apple's next move once it saturates the market? Or, more generally, what is the next move once you've saturated a market?

Just because you personally find something offensive doesn't mean it isn't funny. Humor is subjective. It might just mean you have a shit sense of humor.

Rockstar game developers exist today as they did then. Hidetaka Miyazaki, director of Dark Souls and now president of From Software, is quickly becoming one.

what I took away last time the A10 came up around here was that the AF brass (as well as the brass of every branch of the US military) were too busy fantasizing about future wars with China to appreciate the practical usefulness of the A10

I found the multiplayer of the new DOOM to be full of strange design decisions. It clearly wants to be an arena shooter, but it couldn't let go of loadouts from Call of Duty, nor the "modern" Halo roots the team had previousl

That's hilarious. There were also huge gatherings, etc. I found it easy to relate to the players as far as mourning the loss goes. It reminds me of watching an MMO I loved, The Realm Online, die slowly. It's still technically arou

This is ignorant at best and naive at worst. God help anyone you treat, and if you aren't a medical professional its probably for the best. Your comment makes me physically ill.

contrary to popular opinion these days, I think pain is undertreated and routinely so. quality of life should take priority over dependence concerns especially in the elderly.

There are plenty of examples of abuses/attempts at absolution in the current Early Access ecosystem, without question. Factorio is not one of them, IMO.
