All of mine are in same folder, and I use search or linked / unlinked panels for finding / creating links. Thousands of notes in same folder doesnt really matter if you use the Obs. provided tools to navigate it.

I legitimately forgot to even consider folders once I had taken "enough" notes / diary entries. Just forgot they exist at all. I see everything relevant in the linked / unlinked mentions that I use to refresh the context

I mean, obviously. Obviously I'm not going to assert every header in their own unit test for a single request path in most cases. Assert what makes sense as a logical whole / unit.

There's a difference between a PROGRAMMER and SOFTWARE ENGINEER. I know bad programmers that are good swes, and I know good programmers that are bad swes. Though the best is probably happy average.

Most of C++ programming is tied in legacy code and tech debt, that is why it has that image. Only so few modern green field C++ projects with latest standard out there.

I think it is fine. If you lack consciousness to notice when you are, as you suggest, tricked to working for free, you have much worse issues. I started my programming due to a social network need in the first place.
