I think you have a point, but on the other hand consider “stand-up meeting.” If my team included a person who used a wheelchair, I am highly confident that my team and I would not call our daily scrum a daily stand-up.

I had a Treo when the first iPhone came out. The Treo had cut-and-paste and 3G wireless. The initial iPhone had neither. The Treo may have been inferior in other ways, but it can be hard to remember how limited the first iPhone was.
