I can understand this for sure! In my experience Facebook degraded and a lot of people that just posted pictures with small updates moved to Instagram. Again, anecdotally, I have a pocket of friends in Prague and they mostly used Instagram.

Anecdotally I quit Facebook in 2016 but of my friends and family that still use it, I would say most simply use it for marketplace. They may still view the updates that people still post to see what's going on but it doesn't seem

As a kid I somehow stumbled into Discworld first by playing the point-and-click PC game where Rincewind was voiced by Eric Idle (probably after much fumbling through soundcards settings). This is how I discovered the book series and have be

The drought causing rivers to have such low flow this year doesn't help! River float trips are yearly staples for some Texans, but if the river isn't flowing - it's not worth the trip often.

This article is specifically about Moonies though. I've also heard first hand accounts of that exact situation happening in the town where I went to college many years ago.

I think there is also something else afoot whether it is health care, skin products, easier living in general, etc... I am often mind blown when I look at pictures of athletes or movie stars from decades ago. They often would look 50-60 yea

Yep, this just feels like something is afoot that we'll never be aware of. By some accounts in this very HN post, Juul was operating wildly until Altria (phillip morris) bought a stake. If this does happen, the next likely benefactor
