I made a similar switch from VS Code to PHPStorm and had a remarkably similar experience. When I started using a proper IDE, I really began to get comfortable with the inner workings of what I was doing–debugging the frameworks I was using,

I missed something in here that seems important: you don't handle VATMOSS? Or are you doing that with Moneybird?

I highly endorse Cushion for this purpose - it helps you estimate revenue, and understand how you're tracking so far. It's the only good solution I've found that helped avoid 'freelance anxiety' leading to bad busin

Have you used the 5,400 RPM iMac? It's incredibly laggy out of the box. Even booting takes 1-3 full minutes. It crunches just opening apps. With all that other hardware, it's just a waste: you're drinking an i7 through a stra

It seems to me this product is on life support and Apple is simply doing performance bumps to avoid big capex expenses on designing/tooling for something new? It ships with a 5,400 RPM disk, an outdated display technology, omits T2 chi

I honestly don't understand this in the context of Figma, and especially considering how coy they're being about what this means. I have heard from my own network that the 'web version' of Sketch is not designed to subsu

Even if it's for everyone, the point is: it's egregious. Even more so when Apple competes in the same space.

This is a pretty smart move, considering that rumors point to Google's "game streaming service" being available on every device that runs Chrome, without additional installation. That would mean a launch across: * Windows * M

I posted this thing on Twitter, but just to be clear about what's going on here: they've replied and said their terms of service were not really intended to be harsh, they don't want your content, and that they'll revise

Plenty of blogs are in Google News too, so I'd love to hear the logic there. But, also, that's fine if it's not allowed! Google just needs to make the rules far less opaque. Why are some op-ed blogs allowed in, and not others

The point is that Google News is inherently broken because the system in which it approves news sources is broken. If every headline had to do gymnastics to explain the precise, painful point, it would make headlines just annoying.
