One important feature is to enter copy mode, select and copy text without using mouse enter copy mode: LEADER [ highlight text to copy: press space and then arrow w and b to highlight words (like vi editor) exit copy mode: press enter key

It is useful in corporate setting when you have to edit files over ssh on some random machine and you already have terminal open. VS code has remote option but you have to set it up and navigate again etc

you have to also consider backward compatibility. If at all there is another version change in python like the one that happened from 2.0 to 3.0, maintenance effort would be more.

Its a bit complicated, technically java language never broke backward compatibility. you can run existing java programs fine in higher java jvm's by adding extra command line parameters to include all existing libraries in default modu

Not everything can be unit tested. Figuring out what ide is doing and writing a plugin for what you actually want to do.. How to maintain plugin across ide updates...it's the start of rabbit hole and may not be worth it sometimes..

i think its not fair comparison. mv command implementation in 'C' might have more lines of code. Maybe we should complain that there are no OOTB library functions in python to move the file.

Money will never run out. Government will just print more money resulting in inflation and other problems. Most of the currencies are free floating and are not backed up by something tangible like gold.
