No doubt government will try to do that, they are also running out of options. Those are always temporary. Look what happened to the latest rate change.

There is no argument that the market for a lot of stocks was completely out of control. When stock charts are a 90 degree angle, trading on average at 25:1 price vs earnings, there is a problem.

There's no one left in the world to get sucked into that scam, they all got obliterated in that last run to $21k

This is going to turn out to be the great investment opportunity that I mostly missed out on in 2008.

Yes, Windows font rendering is famously bad compared to MacOS. Though the color should not be affected like that.

Everyone knows what I meant by supercapictor. Instantly charged, large storage "batteries".

Seems like an eternity we've been hearing/waiting for super capacitors to become a thing. They seem to be the final puzzle piece in EV adoption. Not having to wait hours to "fill up" at the recharging station will be hug

The basics are easier yes, but the projects have become more complex. So yes, we can easily round corners instead of silly image slices, but like anything, making things easier just bumps up the expectations.

Strange, mine looks like the one on the right, except a shade darker and without the horrible aliasing. That one on the left looks like your display has the brightness maxed out. I agree people should be more conscious of typography legibil

Unless it's for a highly specialized role, generalists with some stronger attributes always seems like the appropriate way to go. We hired a network engineer to handle our entire global network, spanning hundreds of offices in many co

Trained in what way? I type a couple words(misspelled) on Google and it magically returns me exactly what I need. Typing special keywords back in the day sucked.

Well, considering it's been in my Netflix DVD queue for years, and it just happened to be next in line. Pretty big coincidence!

Has anyone watched The 12th Man? True story about some insane cold resistance in Norway during WW2. Watch it with subtitles!

Nothing stopping you from doing this on your next / current project. I've been 100% committed on getting the web back to as lightweight as possible for the last couple years worth of development.

Metals I'm sure make sense, at least the valuable ones. I was referring to only plastic recycling.

by overcast 7y ago
I feel like the entire concept of recycling from the very beginning has been a lie. Now we're all paying for what we thought was being handled properly. Edit: Plastic recycling.

Makes sense for cheap stuff, but I've seen fairly valuable items get rated horribly on fake spot.

How do fake reviews get past order verification? Or is that tag complete bullshit?

Those fingernail tattoos are pretty dope! Remember reading years ago about the artists that do nipple art for breast cancer survivors. Great cause.

I've been procrastinating playing Metroid Prime 3 because I don't want to waggle around the whole time. Pumped for the endlessly delayed Switch version though, I've had it preordered FOREVER.

Just like everything else. Millions of users won't understand what this is talking about, or care for that matter.

Speaking of the Wii, does anyone else wish that motion controls could just be removed from its existing library? Not only has it just a major annoyance in most games, but its basically locked into that hardware now.
