They do own some vertically integrated products like PeopleSoft that use these lower level foundational pieces. But I agree, I don't know why anyone in their right mind would use Oracle outside of golf and sailing bribes.

I have a little bit of sympathy for Github because if everyone is like me then they are getting 5-6x the demand they were last year just based on sheer commits alone, not to mention Github Copilot usage.

I am using AI to learn EVERYTHING. Spanish, code, everything. Honestly, the largest acceleration I am getting is in research towards design docs (which then get used for implementation).
