We're building a product, but that's easy to adapt to many setup (we have many end-users mounting our battery on their e-bikes, for now we are compatible with most systems, Bafang, Brose, Bosch, etc, working on Shimano now)

Would be interesting indeed! For now we don't build our own cells (the most important part for defects), in order to let our users choose their own depending on their needs (18650, 21700, brand, second-life, etc)

Yes! We're compatible with Gen 1/2/3 (but not "smart system" yet!) the battery is indeed 316 eur + about 40/50 eur for the cells (while a comparable Bosch battery would be 700/800 eur) Perhaps you can send

Interesting! What would be a typical use-case of ZeroFS? could I use this to store my Immich and Jellyfin data on S3 so I don't need disk?

After we monitored many battery fires, we decided to build a casing which can sustain lithium fires for typical e-bike batteries: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0NXXfCA2CY

The main point was not to fully benchmark and compare both, but just to get a rough sense of whether a Postgres cache was fast enough to be useful in practice. The comparison with Redis was more a crutch to get a sense of that, than really

Perhaps, but in this case this shows at least that even non-tuned Postgres can be used as a fast cache for many real-world use-cases

I'm pretty sure some of it is direct funding by governmental agencies, but even if that wasn't the case, all the basis of the theory, and the groundwork was laid by researchers and universities using those grants. You need public

I guess it's if some data is quite heavy and is located either client-side or server-side, and you want to do calls without having to transfer the data

In what kind of scenarios are you using Duckdb from postgres? And does it improve over, say, having a Clickhouse instance nearby?

So the alternative would be to just pg_dump / pg_restore the content? Is it an issue?

Exactly! It's known that recycling pristine cells that haven't been glued/welded etc makes it much easier and efficient to recover lithium, so that's also a win for recycling

Would it make it possible to have light "CLI-like" interfaces which span a browser in the same tab and give a proper UI? Could be interesting to replace htop or other monitoring tools with graphs

nice! is there a way for the agent to know about it's own queries / resource usage? eg the agent could actively monitor memory/cpu/time usage of a query and cancel it if it's taking too long?
