I agree that social media may be doing more harm than good, but vilifying Facebook is not going to help. The greater issue is the nature of addiction and what should be done to deal with this in our society. Is regulation necessary? (I ho

Does PyQT require an additional commercial license for the Qt itself? Qt's website says that its commercial license is $459/developer/month! The subscription fee is pretty hefty. So that means I pay PyQT $500 in addition t

Two volumes are perfect, at that junction, between "classic" and "modern". I've also split the PDF into 2 smaller PDF files, to make it easier to load on low-end system. cpdf crpg_book_1-0.pdf 1-259 -o book1.

At first, I thought it was a joke or a fake post, especially with: "music was often played while participants danced, as that was believed to be an effective remedy" but "music encouraged others to join in however, and thus e

I support tools and software that help kids learn technology and coding. I really like the idea and the simplicity, and the cool 13x13 pixel concept, but I can't get over the pricing just to get access to its online EDU hub (license i

I've used Shotcut, and it was easy to use, and its simplicity reminded me of iMovie, which I also recommend for beginners. KDENlive was also good enough for most projects. As stated by others, the biggest weakness is that these edito

I just tried Boostnote and I was impressed. One thing I wish it did better was to make creating new notes easier and faster, like Notational Velocity (or nvAlt). I don't like to have to choose between markdown and snippet each time.

I watch/listen at 1.25x-1.5x for some Vlogs and Youtube videos because the pacing is just too slow. A lot of Youtubers and Podcasters just drone on and on, or speak at a very slow pace, that I just lose interest. When pacing is done r
