It looks great, is open-source, and free for up to 10 devices. I've been using Hamachi, but I may switch.

I wonder if we could reach a compromise, by using stylus instead of using keyboard on a digital device (such as iPad pro or MS Surface Pro) and apps like OneNote. On a side note, there is a handwriting organization ( http://www.ch

I like to keep it in original audio format (usually AAC) instead of mp3, because with mp3 conversion, there is also some loss of quality due to re-compression.

I also want to thank my parents for buying me C64, my first computer, especially during the time when my family wasn't doing so well financially; I can't ever be upset about giving tech support to my parents. It reminds me of a C6

Actually, I think if you have all the parts already (i.e. RPi, webcams), this makes a lot of sense. Creating a Frankenstein system out of existing components would be interesting, and cost would be zero.

This is a really cool project, and I'm always thinking about doing something similar with RPi or other small computer. In the past, I had built my own x86-based CarPC for music/media/GPS/automation/etc. However, the

I'd also prefer 19" racks, but for home server, I'd advise against it due to the fact that most rack cases are unbearably noisy thanks to higher RPM fans and the way the air flow is designed in the case. I'd like to put

This is similar to how I had learned to play the drums, which I started few months ago. I didn't want to spend hours and hours of practicing the rudiment strokes (aka single/double strokes, paradiddles, etc). Instead, I had lear

Thank you for sharing your awesome story. I've learned a lot, and I agree that swallowing one's ego is probably the toughest part, especially in an environment where I tend to be the youngest/least experienced.

I currently use Debian for all the servers, and I cannot imagine using any other OS beside Linux for servers. I've also played with everything from ancient VAX mainframe, SUN OS, all kinds of BSD flavors, and my first experience using

I like the self-update and its simple operation. The hand-wave seems to be gimicky, but it looks quite useful. As for the design, I think Apple's Airport Extreme looks much nicer, and more importantly, the Asus onHub as glowing base. A

For Surface Books, the price point seems to be off. It's priced higher than Macbook pro, and thus I have to justify the need for SB's exceptional portability. A MBP with i5/128GB typically sells for $1299 (but often cheaper f

Problem with imgur is that it compresses the image too much, and the degradation is noticeable. I don't recommend imgur for archival purpose.

One way to minimize the distance between the keyboard and the mouse was to switch the mouse from the right side to the left. This, of course, means that I had to learn to use the left hand for mouse, but this actually helped more than anyth

I thought that Pi was the ideal for LTSP and remote X in local network. The achilles heel of Pi is that it's limited to 100mbps and not even all that due to its shared bus limitation. From experience, I could also tell the difference b

No print and no export functionality are a deal breaker for me. I want to own my data, but unfortunately even my own data could only live inside Microsoft's domain. This is the vendor lock-in that I don't want to face.
