Definitely - we want to set the location by default based on where the user is. The plan is to let people change their current location, although now it is set based on where they are currently working (according to LinkedIn).

I think a lot of the problem when it comes to making new connections is unwarranted shyness. If you know the other party is open to new messages/meeting requests from strangers (which they sometimes are!), it becomes less intimidating
