I doubt it. Don't forget: consumer bank balances were generally protected by government guarantee, so ‘people would have lost all their money without the bailout’ just isn’t true. Bailing out these failing for-profit businesses—privati

Sensible but not surprising decision. The right to resell software was made incredibly clear in the CJEU case Oracle v UsedSoft . In fact, how did Steam manage for so long to ignore the pivotal case law?

I don't know the answer to that. FWIW, my guess would be that the definition is fairly strict. Now, I don't think that would prevent the first party using data processors, but I suspect the first party would have to exercise a lot

I think that's a fair question. AFAICT, v1 of PECR awkwardly applies whenever the cookie is not functionally directly necessary for the service that the user is using. PECR applies even if, like here, the cookie is just for counting u

F# is a fantastic language, IMHO. But there are kinder ways of expressing frustration at its limited popularity, than the way you phrased it.

What Google did is very clearly lawful under European Union law. The Software Directive explicitly permits reverse engineering for interoperability. Interoperability is not explicitly defined, but is widely understood to relate to interface

I had previously come across an in-tree WireGuard extension for Flannel, https://github.com/coreos/flannel/blob/master/dist/extension... . However, Flannel's WireGuard extension looked way too e

No worries. It is incredibly easy to get confused. As you know, the backdrop is MPs spouting nonsense, who are not held to account effectively by domestic media.

Thanks for the explanation. Still, it is absurd they don't use paper (or computers) for all votes.

You have it backwards. With a deal, the deadline is May, allowing time for some of the necessary domestic legislation.

Well, archaic voting practices are constitutional practice. But the UK constitution is 'unwritten'. That means these practices could be easily changed, given the will. In Westminster, voting usually happens by each MP physically m

Desired State Configuration is not supported by PowerShell Core v6, even on Windows. DSC is only supported by PowerShell v5 and earlier. This suggests to me that DSC has been abandoned In contrast, .NET Core supports various old Windows-o

Ooh. Thanks for the algo recommendation. I had been looking for something which can easily support multiple users (having unique keys!), for a small/medium office. Algo looks perfect.

Excellent. Has work on the userspace UWP version started? I'd be happy to help, but I don't want to duplicate any work in progress.

I don't think so. My guess would be that it is because a pointer to the struct can be cast to a pointer to T. I /think/ that is defined behaviour.

Or perhaps a different keybinding could give you a choice of containers to open the new tab in. Unfortunately my suggestion of Ctrl+Shift+T is already taken.

Surprisingly, the .zip files themselves contain an embedded TLS signature. There's a link in the footer of the download page which explains it. But you're right, it's not GPG, and hence no web of trust behind LineageOS.

I'd recommend Termux, which gives you a shell and apt. Termux is available from F-Droid, the free and open source app store. No need for random forums. You should have been able to download an official LineageOS build from https:/

I look forward to your promised blog posts on how you've affordably built your scalable infrastructure. Is the basic principle to use cheap cloud VPSes or dedicated hosting (e.g. of the Digital Ocean, Hetzner, or OVH ilk)? And then yo
