In a neat package/form factor and software. And for 2$. I don’t see a reason why you’d buy the components separate, it’ll probably cost you way more time and money. Or am I missing the point of your comment?

For anyone here struggling with being unemployed and not finding a job, I’d suggest looking into “never search alone”. It’s a book and program to develop a system for finding your next job along with a community and support system. It’s fre

Glad it got resolved, if this isn’t an excellent reason to get off slack and a perfect illustration sd to why owning your data matters then I don’t know what is. I hear mattermost is a good alternative and you can self host it. Good luck, I

I took comfort in the fact that the ruby community seemed miraculously immune from these petty disputes and takeovers from the benevolent entity running the service. Seems like that’s not the case anymore :( Sorry for all the maintainers, t

You can put the public facing stuff on a separate VLAN and have firewall rules that don’t give the VLAN access to LAN stuff. I only know how to do this with IPv4 though, IPv6 confuses me and I’m scared to get it wrong so I disabled it.

But… how did you come up with the idea? There are a million other things to build for learning. What was your inspiration? How did you imagine this?

I’m so envious people get such good ideas. I always come up empty when trying to invent something that is enjoyable to use, fun, funny, partly an art project, partly making us question ourselves and our habits… Of you want a piece of that f

I think it’s the ability to plan for the future and introspection. I don’t think humans are the only ones to have both these things but that’s what I think of as a way to divide species.

To me, understanding the world requires experiencing reality. LLMs dont experience anything. They’re just a program. You can argue that living things are also just following a program but the difference is that they (and I include humans in

What I mean is that the current generation of LLMs don’t understand how concepts relate to one another. Which is why they’re so bad at maths for instance. Markov chains can’t deduce anything logically. I can.

> It may actually be the final breakthrough we need for AGI. I disagree. As I understand them, LLMs right now don’t understand concepts. They actually don’t understand, period. They’re basically Markov chains on steroids. There is no int

It’s all just box ticking and CYA compliance. “We got pwned but the entire company went through a certified phishing awareness program and we have a DPI firewall. Nothing more we could have done, we’re not liable.”

It’s hard to believe how much closer to Idiocracy the US is getting every day. I love how they quoted what RFK and Trump have said in the article to show how devoid of any substance any of that is.

I use tmux to replace terminal emulator tabs, I also suspend jobs all the time (most notably vim to run git commands) In any case with your bindings you can still C-z z and it sends C-z to the process.
