Why do you think they should be classified as a media company? Is it to apply the relevant regulations? In my eyes, Facebook is a company of software and hardware engineers. They produce software as a service. That sure sounds like a tech c

Are they really the same? It's hard for me to believe that. Seems like fast food chains would have the things you list + many other bad things.

Do you think the limited sanctions will be effective? If I were China I don't think this is significant enough for me to stop my plan. Maybe it's intended as a warning. I don't like trump at all. But I agree with defending ou

There's merit in competiton itself. This product does something that both Anki and Memrise do. That's a unique feature, is it not?

It would be interesting to see a line item breakdown of that bill. I'd wager Oracle got a good $50 mill out of it (multi year).

The closet incident I could remember was when a Facebook co founder did this. Looks like he still had to pay a tax https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eduardo_Saverin

Hmmmm. Your statement makes me think you don’t know much about Singapore. It is a tiny city, but it has a massive role in Southeast Asia. I have lived there before and lived a great life without being rich by US or Singapore standards. The

Singapore is a western (like) country and has no capital gains tax. Though as some other commenters have noted, i don’t know if the IRS would consider it legal for a US citizen to bail and not pay the tax. Edited

Yeah I wonder what they could do, if anything. Especially if it was on private property with owners consent. It’ll never happen but fun to think about.

That’d be cool if citizens just did this to make a point. Could the cameras be small or discrete enough to install in several places in DC, so that even politicians walk by a website is updated? There has to be enough video training footage

As a side note, I’m not sure if you’re aware but you’re coming off very argumentative. People are trying to give you feedback and you’re arguing to change their minds. The only thing you’re succeeding at is looking like you’re no fun to wor

Your last paragraph doesn’t quite capture the whole picture. Germany didn’t rebuild into an economic powerhouse on its own. I’m no expert but even with a little search it’s clear that there were many macro economic actions taken by the alli

I think most of us could see that even with Hillary doing that, she would be a better president than Trump. Everything you list about Hillary can be applied to Trump several times over. Overall, it was two truly horrible candidates that we

Reading your last two statements made me think "Jobs would have never, in a million years, let that happen. Whole teams of people would be fired first." It's a good lesson to the rest of us.

There are certain industries and companies that you do really need to continue to innovate. If your product is a technology innovation, it has a life span. Eventually, something will replace it. History has proven this over and over again.
