Of course the positive rate will go down as testing increases. A low positive rate means you’re detecting a significant number of the cases, which is necessary for contact tracing and isolation.

It takes about a 3-5% positive rate to ensure that you’re getting significant enough coverage to catch a large number of cases. It’s a log scale of diminishing returns below that level but above that you’re missing too many cases for isola

I liked it when I first read it 20 years ago, but it also invisibility promotes a fear based perfectionism. The path of getting things done leads to nowhere.

I’m glad to see Millionaire Fastlane at the top of the list. I make money effortlessly in large part due to the mindset of value creation that this book talks about.

Yeah, that’s all on you. I don’t know if confidence training is a thing, but you could hit a huge ROI if you level up your extroversion/confidence game.

Having run some products through these types of marketplaces I am not optimistic. Marketplaces only work if they deliver customers, and I’ve simply seen almost no volume of customers searching within these systems.

We need to be driving test numbers up until only 3-5% are showing positive in order to be confident about low prevalence in an area. I don't see a problem with false positives encouraging asymptomatic people to get tested - it's
