The fix is to not pass the law in the first place. Regulation generally favors incumbents.

1 additional bit of information allows exponentially more complexity to exist. Digital scales very very well.

Exponential growth can continue in virtual realities as the physical reality maxes out.

Products exist in human reality not some science paper. There are no absolute truths, everything dead-ends eventually. It’s like trying to prove that one set of genes is better than another for future survival - an impossible task.

Call it a genetic algorithm if you like. I’m looking for incremental wins in a world of infinite possibilities, not truth.

Yes, of course. You can use a contextual MAB and include the traffic source in the context. Contextual MABs are much more complicated and expensive to implement though.

From a workflow perspective, MAB is a bit difficult to find radical improvements from. The radical improvements come from fundamental design changes, of which it would be very expensive to create a bunch of radically different variants. MA

Sure it’s post-hoc reasoning, but it doesn’t matter because I’m not trying to invalidate a hypothesis. I’m looking for variants that win. When I find one that wins I look at it and try to add more of the same flavor to the product. This pr

I disagree. I’ve spent a lot of time staring at bandit outcomes and usually they match some sort of intuition of why a variant might be exceptional.

Having a higher end ($350+/night) house on AirBnB was pretty fun. The higher price plus AirBnB screening kept out the rifraf so we had very few problems.

The most important thing is to realize just how damn simple they are. As you get mired in the literature everything will seem overwhelmingly complex. Just grok the very very basic idea of them and it will come easier. Also, they’re just a

How did the employees get screwed? Hardware is expensive and the company was sold for basically pennies. If anything is screwed here is people's expectations of how employment works.
