The queen is not your representative, but you are all her “subjects”. She is literally above the law and is thus, by law, some kind of “higher” human than others, which is hilarious. I actually respect your current queen, Elizabeth 2, a per

anti-GMO means more pesticides, antibiotics, etc. GMOs are much safer and environmentally friendly solution to pesticides, herbicides, etc. Don’t even get me started on anti-nuclear (and it is off-topic here)

It amazes and angers me by how much harm is done by: 1) anti-vaxers 2) anti-nuclear 3) anti-GMO A (much) Better public education is desperately needed

I actually grew up in Chernobyl and my parents still work on CNPP, so I did my share of research on this topic. Given its track record Nuclear is the safest source of energy (measured in deaths/twh), safer than even solar or wind. Di

I do think Democrats care much more about environment than Republicans. However, the Democratic opposition to nuclear basically nukes (pun intended) all their environmental progress because energy generation is an environmental “elephant”

Really, I wish it were that easy! Democrats were the main driving force (see Kelly’s earlier career) behind demonizing and reducing nuclear power. We can significantly reduce carbon emissions by using the safest power generation by far - n

Sorry, I think it is a silly dead end. Essentially you are proposing reducing action which has negative side effects to inaction. That is not how humanity solved it’s previous major challenges. The challenges we did mostly overcome (many ho

Exactly. Global emission due to power generation can be cut by a lot (and become insignificant in long term) if we (planet) start switching to nuclear power instead of demonizing it for political gains.

I am not advocating for building more CNPP - like plants. Those reactors are obsolete. There are much, much safer options now ( such as generation 3 reactors in US). However, even those older designes are statistically much safer than coal

I grew up near Chernobyl. My parents still work on CNPP (which was closed in 2000 but still needs personnel). In my opinion nuclear is the only reallistic solution to solve global warming. Per kw produced it is safer than even solar or wind
