The means of production are _not_ being redistributed via taxes and foodstamps. Apple still owns the factories, the IP, the land, the offices, etc.

It's interesting though, Racket certainly doesn't shy away from it. It allows you to use the lambda symbol as a replacement for the `lambda` keyword. (The keyword still works however)

Seconding this. I got discouraged trying Haskell. Came back and tried it with Racket and things made more sense. I certainly wouldn't give Haskell as someone's first functional language.

Perhaps it would do well to reflect on the kind of society that treats people and handles poverty in such a way that they would rather be locked up and almost every aspect of their life controller, because at least they get some food.
