How do you expect anyone to trust the summaries if you are not even going to disclose which AI model generated it?

Well they are spending billions to make shovels that they are selling for millions (roughly).

I'm blown away with just how open the Llama team at Meta is. It is nice to see that they are not only giving access to the models, but they at the same time are open about how they built them. I don't know how the future is going

Agreed. In the RAG space there are a million Open Source projects on GitHub all calling it memory, recreating the same thing over and over again.

How do you know Palworld wouldn’t be successful without Pokemon? I would think it would be even more successful since they would be the first with the monster collecting system.

Thank you. Obviously it doesn’t sound human but that’s extremely impressive for an 8B model. Compared to the Moshi model also on the front page now, this model seems to be more coherent, but maybe less conversational?

Super impressive, and I can see it being useful in many cases already. Especially making interactive experiences in combination with position tracker of a user in a room. As you move around the room your perspective changes. In a more creat

This makes you wonder if they are hitting some sort of physical limit regarding e-ink technology and color representation. If they are forced to dither them like they are doing now, will we ever get good saturation with e-ink?

I had this issue and I «solved» it by cleaning the tiny microphone at the bottom with a toothprush. It’s a small slit that can get stuffed with dust etc and it impacts how well it can do noise cancellations.

My favorite part of that table is how they put 3.5-Sonnet all the way to the right of the table making it harder to compare.

This is so cool! I actually spent the last 3 hours after finding this creating a personal budget for the first time in my life. Basically I just added all my expenses using Claude.ai to help me create good pockets (could be cool integration

In Norway the price increased to about 50 cents per plastic bag. I know it made me start carrying a reusable bag.

I agree, but it does seem a bit strange that you are allowed to "custom-fit" an AI program to solve a specific benchmark. Shouldn't there be some sort of rule that for something to be AGI it should work as "off-the-shelf

Wouldn’t the real AGI test be that an AI would be able to do what the author did here and write this blog post?

Would be interesting if you could try implementing the Cohere Reranker into this. Should be fairly easy, and could lead to quite a bit of performance gain.

This amazing news for my hybrid team. It has always been a struggle figuring out with laptop to use, moving around so you get closer to the mic etc. Hopefully it is as seamless as they portray it here in the blog.

I asked this exact question to one of the leaders of QuantumAI, and he explained it’s a leftover name from when this started out with an idea by some researcher at Google that is no longer part of the project.

Off-topic but this user seems to be using ChatGPT or something similar for almost every single comment. Does Hacker News have a stance on this or is the thinking that it is allowed as long as the content is good?
