You can turn down the power on the 2.4GHz radio so it's not as overpowering.

I'd much prefer people do this than pump out more poorly-running Unity or UE games.

I do something similar with my ThinkPad and Steam Deck connected to different ports, and I change inputs and plug in a controller when I want to play a game then.

If you're comparing new to new, ThinkPads are expensive, but even a year or two old on eBay will be pretty heavily discounted. I would suggest going that route. It should be a lot more durable than a gaming laptop as well.

The T series ThinkPads are back to being unsoldered the last couple gens. The regular ones anyway. I've got a T14 Gen 5 that I bought to meet the criteria of having AV1 hwdec and upgradeable RAM. It wouldn't surprise me if the T14

I would highly recommend getting a device with official support for the best experience. I wouldn't get any phone not on their supported devices list unless it were free of charge, and even then I'd be a bit sad.

You might have more luck searching "ubports". https://ubports.com/ Personally I would recommend postmarketOS + plasma mobile instead, but I didn't think ubports/lomiri were dead yet.

Seconding this. I use KeePassXC on my PC, KeePassDX on Android (available on F-Droid), synced with Syncthing. Works very well.

Dry socket comes to mind. When you have your wisdom teeth out, you aren't even supposed to use straws for a while. I imagine the vacuum pump would be much stronger than the suction from using a straw.

I'm more in the vim camp, but I will say emacs has one of the best GUIs out there. Everything that works in the terminal still works (great keyboard accessibility), plus you get additional benefits, like proper window separation that i

Will second this. When modding Xbox 360s, I used MrMario's guides and he would say repeatedly "clean, flux, tin", kinda stuck in my head. I did also tend to just clean the whole board while it was apart, but especially the po

Besides being a mouse, you can map it to a virtual menu with as many shortcuts as you want, the shortcuts being key presses/combos, allowing you to bind way more things than would otherwise fit on a controller. You can also set up mous

If you want to utilize all features of an 8BitDo controller at once, you also need Steam. XInput mode means no gyro, no back buttons bindable in software, Switch mode gives you gyro but makes your triggers digital, and you still can't

I agree that accidental mouse actions in a TTY are horrible, but generally speaking if you hold shift when clicking and dragging, it will work at the terminal emulater layer instead of sending the clicks to the program in the terminal. I ha

This is about how I feel when people discuss "owning" games, and GOG vs Steam. It's just data, you can make a backup or get someone else's, bypass DRM if needed, and you don't own the copyright either way. Interesti
