Like I said, my knowledge is rusty. I've gotten pure states mixed up with |0>, |1> I believe what it's saying is that with a mixed state |a|^2 + |b|^2 does not need to equal 1. So pure states are a|0> + b|1> where |a|^

Yep. This is the kicker. For streaming videos, only bandwidth matters but for video games, both bandwidth and latency matter. Reminds me a bit of the 30/60 fps fights a few years ago. Sure, 30fps games look more "cinematic" a

Knowledge is a bit rusty (took a module in Uni) but I'll try to answer. A mixed state is that which is a linear combination of pure states e.g. a|0> + b|1> What determines an entangled state is that qubit values will correlate ex

Exactly. The point of quantum entanglement is that the state of two (or more) qubits cannot be separated. To entangle a single qubit is meaningless. For two qubits, the simplest entangled states are the Bell States[0] (generated from a CNOT

What's funny now is that in Northern Ireland (not too sure about down south) we tend to read "Mc" as probably Irish and "Mac" as Scottish.

Maybe best foreigner (non-Korean) Protoss player. The match that AlphaStar lost had actions restricted to a single screen. Before AlphaStar could see and control everything that was not in the fog of war simultaneously. Still quite impressi

I'm from the UK. My home address is in Bangor, Northern Ireland. Almost every employer (in the UK) I've interviewed at initially thought I was Welsh. If I say "I'm from Bangor" to an American and they assume I'

When I was young (until about 8 y/o) I lived in England and we would normally travel to Northern Ireland (where the rest of my family lives) using the ferry at Stranraer. I had some of my fondest memories on the trip there (even if it

There probably is addiction to EVE, though I don't think that's what people imply when they say this. It's more that you'll probably invest so much time into it with so little in(and out)game reward that you're bett

The point the GP is making is that it's the 2016 election (involving Trump) that is usually brought up (though not in this article) when it comes to filter bubbles as opposed to the 2012 election.

Would a better idea for UD be like the original Facebook "like" system? So you only vote if you think it's relevant and only popular definitions sit at the top.
