It amazes me how polarizing blockchain and cryptocurrency is. It is to black/white, love/hate. I really don't ever remember a technology that has created such a visceral reaction from people. I personally, believe there is a

I have founded 5x companies now. My last two have been remote only. I don't think I will ever go back unless I made physical hardware again--even then I might question it. I have moved my family from California to Berlin. It is great w

It is amazing to me that these bridges can't figure out a reliable auditing mechanism. I can't wait to learn about how this was accomplished. But with the amount of money at risk, it seems like there has to be a mechanism to secur

I am fascinated by Unikernels. But how do they deal with things that need to fork or run multiple processes? Aren't they restricted to single processes?

We use freebsd jails and a lightweight in house orchestration tool written in Rust. We are running hundreds of Ryzen machines with 64 cores. Our costs compared to running equivalent on Amazon is so much less. We estimate our costs are about

I would love to know how to recruit a professional maintainer. This is a tremendously difficult skill set.

You are entitled to your opinion. But it is just that, an opinion. Not fact. Citing other opinions doesn't make your claim, that all crypto and web3 are a scam, a fact. Only time will tell. In the meantime, I am happy that this project

In this competitive market, you are likely paying them market plus equity for top talent. EU is less competitive, but you should be paying market or below market if you are augmenting with extra equity.

Having done this 5x times now. My advice is the same I got from one of my first VCs @FirstRound... Pay yourself as much as you need to not be distracted by anything that would slow you down. It is different for different founders and for wh

I hate to say it but brand, ui, ux really matter in terms of first impressions and overall "love" of a product. I wish they would put more work in branding and ux on their website to make it appear more appealing and professional

This is hard. Developers set expectations. How would a non-engineer manager have any idea if something should take hours vs days? Most managers ask engineers to estimate. On the flip side, comparatively, it is much easier to compare perform

I am really starting to feel that co-location will make a big comeback. It seems cloud costs are just becoming too high for the convenience they once offered. For small projects and scale probably makes a ton of sense, but at some point the
