In my experience, it's fun to work on interesting problems and it's fun to work with interesting tech. But it quickly becomes overwhelming if you try to do both at the same time.

I don't believe the ISA dictates the implementation, so theoretically someone could implement the D extension to get 64-bit precision floating point in a more performant way than other implementations. If someone altered the ISA in or

It doesn't seem to say, but do RPi CM3 and CM3+ boards work with this new one?

I think you're on to something. I do find it interesting that I've noticed many product managers use ticket systems to track and reference work and changes, while programmers use version control systems to do something very simila

That sounds like a package manager/module system issue, not a library issue. A sound system would let you use both as long as you weren't ambiguous with your imports.

What's the difference? It's not like the old version of the library ceases to exist. What's the difference between jinja 2.0 and jinja2 1.0?

I'm not tedajax, but my guess as to what they meant is that it's an abysmal mindset to think that making a breaking change to an API means that the previous API was wrong. And I tend to agree. Needs and assumptions change and so

You're correct. As usual, the truth lies somewhere in between the two extremes. People seem to really hate the gray area despite the fact the most of life lies in it.

Ah, good to know. That explains it. I feel like this aspect was lost in reporting this. It was all made to sound much more deliberate.

The weird thing about this to me is, the company or person who scooped up the domain... in order to get their plan working so quickly, wouldn't they have had to set up a site perfectly beforehand so the embeds would work as desired and

I feel like the article didn't deliver on its promise. The author never got to try out the device that's supposed to predict suicide. I was most curious about that because I find myself skeptical such a thing could work.

It's always funny to me when people talk about Gus Grissom being an obscure figure. I'll always remember the name because my family would take me to the Grissom Air Force Base in Indiana to see air shows almost yearly when I was a

Talking about the importance of your employees' passion is code for how to get more work for less compensation. View statements about the importance of passion from potential employers with the same suspicion you would statements like

I Am Not A Banker, but I'd think the modern equivalent is all the Reddit stuff. The meme stocks, diamond hands, to the moon, "I just like the stock", etc. Then again, people supposedly made some money on Gamestop and AMC.

Can we talk about the industrial design of this thing for a moment? It looks like something out of Simon Stålenhag. I don't know whether to be excited or terrified.
