I'd like to think that this will remove people from an office enviroment and allow people to work from home more. This is probably a bit much for most people, but is there really a need for you to sit at a desk in an office when you can do

That is a great suggestion about the DNA analysis stuff. I think with bandwidth like this, alongside the huge jumps that hardware is making, something like that will be possible in the future. This is actually part of my YC application, to

I'm assuming people here know a bit more about this than I do, so I'll ask. Why is CM still a 3rd party developer? I'm curious as to why Google/Samsung/Motorola etc hasn't bought them out and applied their talent to make the stock setup bet

I have to agree. I had CM7 on my atrix and it saved my phone. I was this close "_" to getting rid of my phone because I was frustrated with the stock OS. CM7 fixed that, and gave my phone the last few months I needed out of it. I just got t

I've got an idea that is fairly simple (initially). Can you share a link or something to work that you have done already? I've got a concept that does not have any code written behind it yet, I'd be willing to see what could be whipped up

Uhh, reading this thread is disappointing. Windows is not a bad OS, it has it's pluses and minus just like OSX. Sometimes I love my windows box, other times I really like my iMac. To blame the OP's issues on windows is short sited, it's li

Agreed. Also, at some level, hearing those responses is a good thing. If I was hiring and someone started crying/complaining about my non-interest, I'd keep their name on file as someone to never, ever hire. Don't want that kind of person w

I'd have to say that software mentors are no different than any other kind of technical mentor. here are 5 things that I look for in a mentor: 1. Good communication skills. This includes knowing how to talk to their student using methods th

If this was a full scientific study, I'd agree. Lets keep in mind that it isn't, and it's just a reflection of what was actually said. It isn't fair to draw conclusions from this such as "Alabama is a racist!?!?", but the data do still say

I would write a book on this, especially when I worked doing support for a university. Lately though, it's people who say "my computer is slow, I have to delete some icons from my desktop". That, for some reason, just drives me crazy. Ah si
