I have seen literally hundreds of Excel spreadsheets from banks, consultancies, and VC firms and I have never, ever seen anyone name individual cells the way you are proposing here. If I had to name individual cells in a monthly model spann

Sorry, I should have clarified. My MBP keyboard works just fine with the caps lock switched to control because of what you described. My problem was with trying to use a wired Apple keyboard with Ubuntu.

I'm sure you're not the only one, but for me at least, it was a no-brainer when I started using Emacs. The caps lock key requires about a fifth as much pinky movement as the control key does, and moving my pinky to the control key also affe

We have similar preferences, but I've recently had to switch to a Cherry MX Brown from my Apple keyboard because of a hardware-level delay on the caps lock key that Apple somehow thought was a good idea. Emacs users, beware.

Your point is true generally, but I have yet to use a version of Excel that can handle multiple gigabytes of data without serious performance degradation and probably a lot of crashes.

It's a question of degree. Your savings account with $100,000 in it will probably be worth about $100,002 tomorrow at current rates. The equivalent amount in Bitcoin might be worth much, much more at the rate it's been climbing.

I'm not calling you a liar, but it's helpful in these situations if you can link to something that supports your claims.

It does seem likely that the ARM Chromebook is having some device-specific hardware issues, both due to its cost and because it is lagging behind the other devices in terms of getting OS updates.

This is a really interesting perspective, you should write a blog post about what it's like to have never made a tiny, insignificant mistake in your life and share it with all of us.

I wasn't aware that competitive StarCraft had ever banned anything that was intended by the game engine, and Google isn't turning up anything. Could you provide a source?

The tab thing is a bug, but it's unclear from jedberg's wording. The actual problem is that you can reorder the tabs, but only once, after which reordering stops working.
