This would be such an interesting experiment to perform on other social platforms as well alongside some rough semantic analysis to understand which topics are being silenced. I already got quite a lot of the data pipeline setup for this, s

Exactly. There was a certain simplicity that might be lost. But yeah I can imagine it might work out differently for others as well. Glad to hear it is for you! Have you considered other options? Curious if you came across anything particul

Put simply, Svelte and React were at two ends of a spectrum. React gives you almost complete control over every aspect of the lifecycle, but you have to be explicit about most of the behavior you are seeking to achieve. Building an app with

Disclaimer: OT and pretty ranty. I don't know if that's what the GP hinted at, but as a Svelte developer and big advocate for more than 6 years (single handedly training and evangelizing 20+ developers on it), I found so many conc

It’s actually not too far off. Yes MCP is designed for LLM interactions, but we observed that it’s an invocation API that’s pretty generic. So we built a package format that encapsulates computations and makes them accessible from any of MC

I can actually see the emoji for number 4 on iOS Safari. It’s in the 3rd line, the one before the website url (penultimate).

In my case, I have workloads like this where it’s possible to verify the correctness of the result after inference, so any success rate is better than 0 as it’s possible to identify the “good ones”.

Calling it desperate is a subjective assessment. Yes, some strategies are more haphazard than others, but ignoring generative AI currently is the same as ignoring the internet in 1999 or mobile in 2010 (which facebook famously regretted and

I found the Windsurf agent to be relatively less capable, but their inline tool (and the “Tab” they’re promoting so much) has been extremely underwhelming, compared to Cursor. The only one in this class to be even worse in my experience is

See my other comment. The answer is transfer learning: leveraging massive amounts of data in one language like Python, a few bridges to another language like Ruby, and obtain a “native” result in the other language. But in this case the LLM

For most low-resource languages, support in LLMs is trained through translation pairs between english and the other languages, because translation data is easier to come across than say, conversations about coding, history, physics, basical

This is so cool! I hope it starts some kind of new genre or creator community. Maybe a souls-like take on TR as well? Or some unexpected mashup with another game? So many ideas come to mind!

What you're describing as "needle in a haystack" is a necessary requirement for the downstream ability you want. The distinction is really how many "things" the LLM can process in a single shot. LLMs process tokens

I have been trying GPT-4.1 for a few hours by now through Cursor on a fairly complicated code base. For reference, my gold standard for a coding agent is Claude Sonnet 3.7 despite its tendency to diverge and lose focus. My take aways: - Thi

I am not sure about public evidence. But the memory requirements alone to train on 1M long windows would make it a very unrealistic proposition compared to RoPE scaling. And as I mentioned RoPE is essential for long context anyway. You can&

Indeed, but it does not take away the fact that long context is not trained through long content but by scaling short content instead.

I'm not sure to which extent this opinion is accurately informed. It is well known that nobody trains on 1M token-long content. It wouldn't work anyway as the dependencies are too far fetched and you end up with vanishing gradient

Grandparent is correct. This is manually trained in, nothing fundamental changed since 2022. LLMs have no intrinsic way of knowing. Source: I train LLMs and push their limits.
