My hypothesis is that including information in the LLM’s prompt to support its answer changes the task roughly from text generation, very hallucination prone, to text summarization, or reformulation with some reasoning, and this is less li

How about a local wikipedia dump, with precalculated embeddings? Then you can perform a similarity search first and feed the results to the LLM. It’s less likely to hallucinate this way.

This article is meant for less technically minded people, rather than an accurate reference at an academic or practitioner level. For this audience, tokens are very much a secret language in my opinion. Feedback is very much welcome though!

I use OneDev in my homelab to host code, both mine and OSS forks, and run CI jobs. I’m pretty happy with it, except for the limited community/figuring things out on your own vibe to it.

Isn’t public sollicitation for investments considered a public sale event that requires filing up with the SEC? Very strange vibes indeed.

Just like I try to avoid self-hosting monitoring and devops stuff, I wouldn’t feel comfortable relying on something I have to maintain for home automation. Unless you don’t care if one day your self written home automation system stops work

For the urban development minded HNers out there, would it make sense to build a dedicated tech hub next to the city so that rent and cost of life is less sensitive to it or is gentrification unavoidable?

I see several shortcomings with this design: - High investment cost to adopt the tech. - High manufacturing and maintenance cost for this level of integration. (especially due to the battery short lifespan) - Energy loss during power transf
