Could you share a bit more of your reasoning for choosing Fastify over Express and how was your experience since you switched? Express is my go-to but I'm always open to improving my ways.

There is some CUDA support on AMD. I'm using it on a daily basis, it's much more production ready than you would expect. Do you use pytorch or something else?

My reading is: “This is a great use of AI. Others who complained AI doesn’t have good applications are lacking imagination.”

I thought about setting up such a device outside of my window (there's a lot of birds nearby), and the obvious concern of setting up a mic in your house and uploading recordings is privacy. I found two privacy policies related to Birdw

That one of the brightest minds of our generation is able to increase his bandwidth with the combination of LLMs and automated proofs makes me super bullish on this tech combo in the future! It starts with bug-fixing, then supports verifica

Side note, I've been working on a transliteration tool for Arabeezi<->Arabic leveraging new NLP techniques (not LLMs to be clear) and it's working pretty great. Contact in my profile if this is something of interest to you.

This point is understated. One of the main reasons cloud is so attractive to executives is the smaller devops footprint compared to a traditional on-premise deployment. A solution as lightweight on operations as Oxide challenges this premis

Yes that’s also how I understood it. Maybe it was ambiguously expressed, but I mean “8k tokens as input is a lot of information to encode”

Impressive work. I wonder what would be the best way to use 8k embeddings. It’s a lot of information to keep in a vector, so things like “precision” of the embedding space and its ability to distinguish very similar large documents will be

I tend to subscribe to this viewpoint. With the size of the opportunity and the level of competition, and barring some exponential compounding dynamic (possible in this space of all industries), I don’t see foundational model providers like

People in power who are aware of this and still make these decisions are the worst. I’ve seen abject examples in my career. And what happens when you complain about burnout, repeatedly? - “Yeah it happens. Why not take a vacation?”, but dro

Same, but then it could also be too slow or unpleasant to look at. Maybe a smaller pacman that eats multiple lines at once? Either way it's a pretty cool idea and execution, well done OP :)

This is a great point, it doesn’t have to be a perfect technical countermeasure. Being able to prove opt-out using a watermark tech like this one, maybe even encoding provenance, could make for very interesting legal battles.

I keep waiting for someone to build an alternative to wamp/autobahn and to deepstream.io Bifrost seems to be a great contender. Client code looks a bit convoluted, but that probably can be improved over time. Will keep an eye on this!
