I am Spanish and my English is good but not perfect. Any way when I find myself talking English close to people who´s English is worst than mine, I change my pronunciation to one much less accurate (almost Spanish pronunciation of English w

Well, yes in this case , but if you have obstacles ahead maybe your best option is keeping the plane close to the stall in order to climb, so you need to fly the plane. That is the reason most of this protections must have an override. The

It´s true it is not possible to stall the plane in normal mode AND stable air conditions, in fact at high altitudes is possible to lose control of the plane even in normal mode, due to sudden changes in air density or extreme turbulence. Th

The flight mode is important but not the reason why they crashed the plane (IMHO). The reason they didn´t do anything else but pull the sidestick and apply TOGA was that they thought it was the solution to the problem. The problem to them

You are right about the 4 min, but there is no such a thing as a flight mode button. Normal, alternate and direct law change automatically depending the number of computers or inputs available. There is a big red ALTERNATE LAW at the HSI, a

Pitot tubes are always under strong heating during flight( so strong that the steel may blue). The problem with the 330 pitots brand in particular( there are several ) is that they cant evacuate water fast enought and sometimes they could b

Well ask your dad about landing in short runways during a thunderstorm with strong gusting cross winds + contaminated runway. If he didn't have a rush with that...

There is a loud "dual input" voice + a red light just infront of you. Also if you push the red button on the sidestick and keep it pressed you override all te commands of the other one. This has several reasons, taking away the control from

You simply don't fly through a thunderstorm, as you simply don't drive through A concrete wall at 100mph. No matter how short you are on fuel.

This kind of problems are quite common with new aircraft models. The most dangerous are those which are not as obvious as the landing gear( flight modes bugs and unexpected behaviours)

Software in airplanes is a huge help! Also if is not properly thought or has bugs it can kill you too. One of the problems right now is over reliance in the capacity of the plane to detect and combat properly ANY failure or emergency.
