someone mentioned nightride.fm the other day (yesterday?) on another thread as a comment and now this pops up. sometimes I wonder if bots read HN and submit related stories/topics.

I use LXD. I can spawn any distro I want. I also use GUI apps this way (including video/audio eg firefox). I also use chezmoi for different HOME environments I want to have inside my LXD containers.

your whole description (plus the website) is totally cryptic. unless one knows what BBS actually stands for. I spent several minutes looking for an explanation on your website and in your HN post. still dont know what it is.

I was excited to hear about tRPC until I realized that there seems to be the need for a monorepo. can't just keep the backend and let clients talk to me.

I was thinking about doing this with my own custom setup. Im thinking of putting the folder .mozilla into a gocryptfs encrypted folder and use syncthing to sync it between devices.

you could use postgres with postgREST. push your JSONs via HTTP into a queue. a LISTEN/NOTIFY would trigger queue workers server-side.

if something is for free, you are the product. openai is not open. it is a shady business that requires you to give your phone number. they sell your data. they can tell who writes what to ChatGPT.
