Any specific feedback on completion behaviors that feel wrong?

Thanks for the feedback. I agree that communication about bugs could be better. Still would appreciate an FB# for any weird autocompletes you experience.

Google Meet works fine, as does Jitsi Meet. We're working with popular WebRTC providers one at a time. Unfortunately, the state of WebRTC interop is pretty bad across the board, so providers use website lockouts and qualify one browser

This in particular is a Safari bug, not WebKit, so not ideal to file there. If anyone files a case of this with sysdiagnose and screen recording and posts the FB# here, I will make sure it gets looked at.

It's just a bug. We could use bug reports of this because it doesn't seem to reproduce for everyone.

Posting reply here for more visibility. Folks who can reproduce the "sketch" --> "sketchers.com" behavior or the "realty.com" --> "realtor.com" behavior, would any of you be willing to file the

It's free to sign up on developer.apple.com! Bug reports filed via Feedback Assistant are a lot more actionable, so worth it if you are considering reporting issues.

Thank you! I do work at Apple, on WebKit mostly but I'm in touch with a lot of Safari folks too.

Interesting! Maybe it takes a lot of visits to realtor.com to get in this state.

Have you tried it lately? A recent-ish rework made it more like Chrome's, but with cleaner design.

I don't know what to conclude about ad blocker perf from Speedometer, but it's not just creation/deletion of DOM nodes. It runs multiple implementations of TodoMV using various JS frameworks[1, and performs real operations in

> Safari for iOS does support extensions, so I'd assume they'll use the same framework. Safari for iOS and iPadOS has native Safari App Extensions but not the new web tech based Safari Web Extensions (yet).

The outcome seems to be that this extension fixed the bug and will still be kicked off the Chrome Web Store. That's probably not a net benefit for users _as a result_, even setting aside the unclear communication. Imagine using a build

We actually shipped pointer events a while ago. What’s new here is support for an external mouse or trackpad attached to an iPad generating real mouse events (and mouse type pointer events) instead of touch events.

How is this large set of web platform improvements evidence of holding back PWAs?

We’d love your feedback on how you are looking to use these APIs. A lot of our work is driven by developer feedback. Also, for the SameSite Lax thing, can you explain a bit more? That sounds like a bug. If you have a reproducible case, plea

We’ve worked hard to deliver WebRTC and make it better over time. If you have specific bugs to report, please share!

Exactly this. It’s not full Safari, more of a way to not dead end when someone messages you a link and you look at the message on your watch.

I’m not sure who else has implemented this API so far, but I believe they mostly use explicit permissions instead.

On a vulnerable version you could do that. For clarity, the bugs that led to this have been fixed in the latest Safari version on all platforms.

Home screen web app data will be deleted onlY be deleted after 7 days of active use of that web app without any user interaction, which is nearly impossible. So the whole premise of the OP is false.

The day count is days of active browser use, not calendar days, so what you describe is unlikely.

I'm surprised this hasn't gotten any mainstream tech press attention. Chrome's Privacy Whitepaper describes a number of privacy-questionable nonstandard headers which are only sent to Google services. Just try searching for X
