You know how much time I had to spend doing desktop support for developers who couldn't get their own Zoom/Teams meetings to work on Windows? Its not as intuitive as you think, you're probably just used to it.

If you have distinct spikes, you might have an obstruction. You need a much larger view of the sky to the north to completely get rid of that. If the connection is perfect, you should get consistent 20ms pings all day long. But it is really

20ms pings, and I'm on the original gen 1 dish from the beta days still. Can't really tell much difference from a land-based connection. The mini is even faster when it has an equivalent view of the sky.

I had a shitty DSL line just a couple years ago before Starlink. Maybe 700KBps if I was lucky. Both me and my partner could remotely work on it, run zoom calls at the same time. That said, it is nice to have more bandwidth, but people do va

I don't wanna defend Starlink here, but you can do a lot more with the slow speeds than you realize.

It currently is dominated by spam and SEO hacks. Unless you're trying to find Amazon or Home Depot. They've done fuck all to make it better in the last few years.

Set your device to "metered network" and all the background shit will stop running. That's what I had to do to get my Starlink mini working in Standby mode. As soon as your device is on WiFi it thinks it's a free for all

I leave my Starlink Mini in Standby Mode, which is $5/mo and is capped at 500KB/sec. I got the dish for free because I'm already a subscriber at home, so adding the $5/mo really isn't a big deal. It's perfect t

I get hit with them all the time. That doesn't answer how does a human abuse a website? Hitting F5 on the keyboard 1000 times?

A Suburban without 4 wheel steering has a tighter turning radius. It's pathetic that something with 4 wheel steering can't outdo a Suburban. And why would I want to drive one? I have literally no reason to drive that waste of batt

Its not amazing in the city. The turning radius on the cybertruck is atrocious. Go look it up and quit believing the marketing bullshit.

No it doesn't. A regular Suburban without 4 wheel steering still has a tighter turning radius. A fucking Suburban!

I decide if you need to have a step on your bumper because the truck is too high to get anything in and out of it. Lowering my truck made it way easier to load and unload.

Yeah let's not pretend every family with a truck only owns one vehicle. Most families already have a second car anyways. Especially people spending $60k+ on a truck.

How does a human abuse a website, and how does a CAPTCHA stop a human from abusing a website when it's designed to let a human in? If it doesn't stop humans from abusing the site, then it must stop... computers from abusing the

There are regular 100+ car pileups in the central California valley due to fog. Cars crash in a lot of situations because the driver simply can't see. We need something better than vision to avoid these kinds of accidents. Coordinated

It's always been that way, and Markeplace is the same too. At least you can actually use search filters on CL, and it doesn't just show you whatever it thinks you want to see.

They will often sell it to someone for super cheap. They don't care about getting fair market value. $1000 for a $10000 van with no title isn't a loss to a thief. It's still $1000. And there are a lot of desperate people who
