Hi! we don't do schema validation, yet. The json storage we currently use is kind of "secondary" to the database, and so there currently we don't verify it. The relational database we use does have a schema, of course.

I don't get it either. From sibling comments here I think that it's the fact the bulk of his answer was about C++ while the question was about C. But he noted that in his answer and separated the cases, so I don't see what

Yes, exactly, I do this all the time. Only after having exhausted this, which I consider to be the low-hanging fruits of performance gains, do I start profiling code with an actual profiler.

My experience is very somilar. In my own narrow domain chatgpt, Claude, copilot et al has been a toy, as in, mostly useless answers to my very specific questions.
