I was a kid at the time and we had a Taiwanese IBM PC AT (12MHz 286) clone at home in Moscow which my dad who is a research scientist used for work. He bought it unofficially and it cost more than an apartment. I remember making a very simp

What don't you like about Ringo's programming model? I've found the community to be very helpful, despite it's relatively small size.

It explains why JSON parsing doesn't perform well, but doesn't explain the original benchmark results. Would be great to get a comment from @mraleph or the other V8 guys on that.

Just because it's easy, doesn't mean you should include it ;) For one thing it makes the docs longer. Will be interesting to see how many people use XML.

Good advice. I'd go further and say that you should charge the customer for putting the spec together.

IntelliJ IDEA ( http://www.jetbrains.com/idea/ ) has good JavaScript support, including refactoring. I also quite like Komodo Edit ( http://www.activestate.com/komodo-edit ), since it's more lightweight but has JavaScript code completion &#

You don't have to deal with Java if you don't want to when using RingoJS. Also, have you tried http://www.akshell.com ?

From talking to Anton, it seems like GitHub integration is next up on the TODO list. Any feedback on whether you'd find that useful and how you think it should be done would be really appreciated.

It would be useful if you could add apps which aren't in your database. For example, I have a self hosted instance of Sugar CRM - why can't I add that to the page? Overall I really like the service. Nice, simple and something that a lot of

I actually think a common login across all Akshell apps is what will make this superior to AppEngine, AppJet etc. Also, it would be good if there was a per user data store in addition to a per application one.

You should make your module loading code CommonJS compatible: http://commonjs.org/specs/modules/1.0/ Check out the mailing list as well, if you're not on it already: http://groups.google.com/group/commonjs
