I found that browserify tried to do too much by emulating Node within the browser so wrote JoinJS which just implements CommonJS modules without trying to parse the JS files: https://github.com/olegp/joinjs

Shameless plug here but I'd say Common Node is pretty good: https://github.com/olegp/common-node - it lets you write your server using a synchronous style while retaining the low memory usage and quick start up speed of Node.js. For examp

Success has many fathers ... although I guess it remains to be seen how much of a success Chrome OS turns out to be. I for one am rooting for it.

I'm working on a similar extension that stores your settings on a server (see my other comment to this post) and was wondering: what are the main Spped Dial 2 features that you use?

This would be very useful for the web app directory I'm building at https://starthq.com . At the moment I attempt to retrieve a higher resolution logo by pretending to be an iOS device via the User Agent header and pulling out the apple-t

Direct link to the PDF of the full book linked to from the page: http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/~rja14/musicfiles/manuscripts/SEv1.p... I have to say that this is the only course book from Cambridge I've reread multiple times.

How many of you actually use the browsers' new tab page thumbnail links as intended? I recently built https://starthq.com as a new tab replacement service, but very few of the users seem to use it as such.

I ran into this issue as well when working on https://starthq.com The font file is loaded the first time any text using the font is displayed and I am using Font Awesome for the icons which are only visible when selecting a drop down menu

You can also use fibers and make the code appear synchronous, which gives you the ability to use exceptions for error handling.

Hey Peter, looking great. You should release your REST API documentation so people could integrate from the server. Also, I'm already using SendGrid so ideally I would like for you to be able to use my existing email account, or better yet,

If you don't like callbacks, you can wait until generators become available or use the likes of fibers today. I've implemented a number of synchronous CommonJS specs on top of Node using fibers ( https://github.com/olegp/common-node ), whic

If you prefer synchronous server side JavaScript, I would recommend also checking out Stick, a CommonJS compatible Sinatra like framework that can also be used from CoffeeScript: https://github.com/olegp/stick

Have you considered using plain coffee-script with node-fibers instead? It might also be worth looking into Common Node ( https://github.com/olegp/common-node ) that I'm working on which provides a higher level abstraction: https://gist.gi
