I've self-hosted my personal email for 25+ years, at a variety of ISP's and multiple IP's over the years. It's not fully automatic, not cattle, my pet. It takes focus and effort. I do it because I like the independence a

Yes. Actually no, not disable, I use Local-Local, there's a rare application here and there that needs to see an IPv6 stack is available then connects normally over IPv4. Google and anyone touting IPv6 can take IPv6 and have a nice day

None of the computers I own personally use IPv6. IPv6 is a bad idea. IPv6 is a straight connection from the Internet through everything in the network, right to the individual machine. Give my IPv4 and NAT or turn the Internet off.

What's truly astounding is that Windows and Mac have developed their own Linux like distribution managers over the years indicating it's probably far better than the proprietary crap they created in the first place.

Also multiple gigabytes of space in /snap and not knowing when or why an app is updating or what it will do to the machine.

I have no interest in snaps, flatpak or appimage. I can't stop my phone's apps from updating whenever they feel like it without breaking many of them. I can and do control software installations on my machines.

I like SonarQube for removing ambiguity. If SonarQube is set to fail the build at lower than a certain percentage of coverage or too low of a grade in Maintenance then it gets fixed before the PR even gets filed. Assuming the code is proces
