The article is written from an American perspective: War is something happening far from home and the participants are men in the military, which (if they survive) may return to peace and safety after service have ended. The perspective is

GET is the most appropriate method for many forms, eg. search interfaces. It is not just a question of backwards compatibility.

Aren't GET forms still the default choice for search engines like Google? Otherwise you couldn't bookmark a search.

The old testament is incredible violent, with literal genocides ordered by God. I struggle to see how anybody who have read both could consider it less violent than the Quran.

Muslim terrorists in general are also in opposition to mainstream Islam. They are extremists, just as Breivik is an extremist.

I'm not saying western Christianity in general is violent! Certainly Breivik is a lone extremist with absolutely no support by any mainstream church. But it doesn't change the fact that he was a christian and what he considered ch

Western Christianity certainly haven't left violence behind. Just take the christian terrorist Anders Brevik who killed 80 people in Norway.

GET in forms is useful for query interfaces, eg. a search engine. A search should be safe, idempotent and all parameters encoded in the URL. GET is the correct choice for that.

HTML is designed for REST. Which is why a form does not support arbitrary HTTP methods, but only the methods which semantically makes sense for a form.

Yes, because a form is a collection of input fields, and it makes sense to POST input data to a resource. It does not make sense to say attach a collection of input fields to DELETE or OPTIONS request. You can still use other HTTP methods f

If the language is simple enough to be parsed with only regular expressions, then the language does not have context-free grammar, so bottom-up/top-down distinction does not apply. This also means that the language cannot have recursiv

It is less code because it doesn't use encapsulation. So is encapsulation a benefit or just needless overhead? Depends on the size of the program.

Each monads have its own semantics, so yes, they are multiple concepts. The Maybe-monad is used to solve totally different problems than the IO-monad. Also things like list comprenhensions is implemented as a monad in Haskell.

F# also has monads. However both Haskell and F# has syntactic sugar which makes the use of monads convenient. Without some syntactic sugar, using mondas requires chains of nested lambdas which quickly becomes convoluted and unreadable. E.g.
